Fuel Up To Play 60"In the short time that our school has been involved in Fuel Up to Play 60, the students already have made so many changes, like starting a Walking Club and adding healthier foods to the lunch line. I think they're establishing some lifetime habits." -Ric Davies, Health Teacher and Fuel up to Play 60 Program AdvisorGoing, Going, Gone... FREE School Wellness Activation Kits are going quickly but are still available in some areas. Invite your friends in other schools to enroll now. This eNewsletter is a companion to the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, designed to help you manage and guide students as they lead the way toward school wellness!

Great news! More than 50,000 enrolled schools and 200,000 registered students are getting healthy with Fuel Up to Play 60!

By registering online, students get their own Personal Tracker where they can drag and drop their healthy eating and physical activities each day. Tracking is a great way to keep wellness top-of-mind. Student registration is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Register!

Even if your school is enrolled, students must register to track their points. To register, students go to FuelUpToPlay60.com, click on the Student Registration tab, then enter a self-selected user name and password.

2. Take the Pledge!

Once students register, they write a personal wellness pledge that confirms their commitment to making themselves and their school healthier.

3. Track!

Registered? Pledged? Great! Next, students go to their Personal Tracker, where they track healthy behaviors including eating nutrient-rich foods and being active for 60 minutes a day. As students track, they earn points on their personal Scoreboard. (If students don't have daily access to a computer, they can keep track of their points with this Paper Tracker and then enter their points online once a week.) The first phase of the National Competition ends this month, but there's still time to get your students registered for phase two, which starts February 1.

Easy Ways to Get Your Students Registered

Program Advisor - that's YOU!

"Program Advisor" is what we call any adult who's enrolled in Fuel Up to Play 60. And the Program Advisor page is where ALL the really fun stuff is! (It's in the Adults area at FuelUpToPlay60.com).

Here's what you'll find:

A School Wellness Investigation tool your team can complete online

Great Ideas

Create wall-sized paper Trackers for your school, and have students write-in their points each week.

Have a weekly nutrition or NFL Club team trivia contest during lunch.

Announce the top five Fuel Up to Play 60 point earners each week on the morning announcements. Give the top point earner from each grade level a signed football at the end of the program.
