Are You on the Fuel Up to Play Roster?
Kick off next school year with Fuel Up to Play, the new School Wellness Activation Kit from the National Dairy Council®, your local Dairy Council® and the National Football League! Fuel Up To Play includes a menu of new activities; colorful signage for classrooms, hallways and cafeterias; and ideas for engaging the whole school community in wellness.
To enroll for next year's program or to get more information, go to www.SchoolWellnessKit.org. One kit per school (while supplies last) will be shipped in early October 2009.

Set and track weekly nutrition and fitness goals for the whole family.

Encourage parents to choose seasonal, healthy fruits and vegetables,
including "superfoods" like blueberries, oranges and tomatoes.

Choose low-fat or fat-free milk for refreshing treats like smoothies and
pudding.

Limit sedentary activities like watching TV, playing on the computer and
video games.

Use a pedometer to keep track of your steps from the last day of school
to the first.
